Managing your routes
Routes are the foundation of your transport setup. Each route represents a journey to or from camp that campers and staff can be assigned to or request themselves.

Creating a route
When creating a route, you'll define the core details including the route name, date, and the audience it applies to (campers, staff, or both). You'll also select the transport method, which can be drop-off, pick-up, both, or self-drive. Once your method is selected, you can add stops along the route with their associated times and include any additional route information that parents or staff may need to know.
You don't need to create vehicles when setting up your routes. You can add buses or other vehicles later once you've collected requests and have a clearer picture of demand. This gives you the flexibility to plan around actual numbers rather than estimates.
Route visibility
Each route can be set as public or private.
Public routes are visible to parents and staff in their login area, where they can browse available options and submit a request for their arrival, departure, or both. Private routes stay internal, allowing your team to manage assignments directly without opening requests to families or staff. You can also hide the transport section from the parent and staff experience entirely if you prefer to handle everything behind the scenes.
Visibility criteria
To control which routes are visible to which people, you can configure visibility criteria on each route. For campers, this includes attributes such as session and camper group. For staff, you can filter by start date, department, and other profile attributes. This ensures parents and staff only see the routes that are relevant to them.
Flight information
If campers or staff are arriving by air, they can provide their flight details when submitting a route request. This gives your team the information they need to coordinate airport pickups and align transport schedules with flight arrival times.
