Use them to track dietary needs, cabin preferences, scholarship recipients - anything you want to filter or group by later.

Creating tags

Head to Camp settings, then Tags. Click Add tag and fill in:

  • Name - a clear label for the tag (e.g., "Vegetarian", "Leadership program").

  • Visible on - choose where this tag can be applied: Campers, Staff, Families, or any combination. A tag set to "Campers" will only appear when tagging camper profiles.

  • Tag group (optional) - assign the tag to a group for better organization.

Tag groups

Tag groups let you organize related tags together. For example, you might create a "Dietary" group containing tags like Vegetarian, Gluten-free, and Nut allergy, or a "Program track" group with tags like Arts, Sports, and STEM.

To create a tag group, go to Camp settings > Tags > Tag groups and click Add group. Each group has:

  • Name - the group label.

  • Exclusive - when enabled, only one tag from this group can be applied to a profile at a time. This is useful for categories where options are mutually exclusive, like a "T-shirt size" group where a camper can only be one size.

Applying tags

Tags can be applied in two ways:

  • From a profile - open any camper, staff, or family profile and navigate to the Tags section. Select from available tags to apply them.

  • In bulk from a Datatable - select multiple rows in any Datatable, then use the Add tags or Remove tags bulk action to tag or untag many records at once.

Using tags for filtering

Once applied, tags become available as filter options in your Datatables. This makes it easy to pull up lists like "all campers tagged Vegetarian in Session 2" or "all staff tagged as Returning."

Tags can also be used as audience filters when creating broadcasts, helping you target communications to the right group.

Form assignments

Tags can be linked to form assignments, allowing you to automatically assign specific forms to any camper or staff member with a particular tag. This saves time when certain forms only apply to a subset of your population.
