Fee categories

Fee categories allow camps to define reusable fee types for compensation and recruitment, making it easier to manage and report on staff fees consistently across the season.

Compensation and Recruitment tabs

Fee categories are split across two tabs:

  • Compensation – define additional compensation types beyond base salary, such as bonuses or travel stipends.

  • Recruitment – define recruitment-related fee types such as agency fees or transport fees.

Each tab displays a table showing the category name, column name, merge tag name, and usage count.

Creating a category

Click Create category from either tab and fill in the following:

  • Name – the name shown when selecting this category on a staff profile or offer.

  • Column name – the header displayed for this fee in staff data tables.

  • Merge tag name – the tag used in contract templates to reference this specific fee and amount.

Click Save to add the category. It will then be available as a dropdown option when adding fees to staff profiles or creating offers and contracts.

You can also create a new category inline when editing a staff profile — it will be automatically added to the relevant category table.

Why this matters

Fee categories give you cleaner, more structured data across your staff table, with a dedicated column for each fee type. They also improve contract templates by providing individual merge tags for each fee and amount, making contracts more flexible and readable.
