Collecting staff references

Campfront includes a built-in workflow for creating, sending, and managing staff reference requests - with completed references automatically stored against each staff profile.

How referees are added

Staff can provide their referee details in three ways:

  • Logging in to their staff portal and entering the information directly.

  • Secure single-use link - staff receive an email with a one-time link to submit referee details.

  • Admin entry - camp admins can enter referee details on behalf of the staff member.

How the reference process works

Once referee details are submitted, the referee receives an email containing a one-time form link. From there they can submit the reference or decline the request. Referees are required to provide a phone number as part of their submission.

If the referee's IP address matches the requester's, a flag appears on the reference to highlight this for review.

Reviewing references

Completed references flow back into Campfront automatically. From there you can:

  • Review the full reference submission

  • Verify - mark a reference as verified

  • Reject - flag a reference as rejected

  • Delete - remove a reference entirely

  • Download - export the reference as a file

Where to find references

All reference statuses and actions can be accessed in two places:

  • The dedicated Staff > References table for a camp-wide view

  • Directly within each staff profile for an individual view
