Creating a task
From any camper, staff, or family profile, navigate to the Tasks tab and type into the Add a task field. Campfront reads what you type, so a line like "Confirm insurance card by Friday @Sam" becomes a task with the due date and assignee already filled in. You can adjust any task with a click afterward.
Description - what needs to be done.
Due date (optional) - type a date right into the line, like "Renew allergy meds Tuesday," and Campfront pulls it out for you.
Assigned to (optional) - type @ followed by a name to assign the task to a teammate as you type.
Tasks are visible to team members whose permission role has the Manage tasks capability. It's on by default for the Owner, Admin, Member, Medical, and Financial roles. View Only and custom roles need it enabled under Settings → Roles before the Tasks tab appears.
Managing tasks
Open and completed tasks live on separate Open and Completed tabs, so you land on what's outstanding by default. Inside Open, tasks are grouped by due date (Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, This week, Later, and No due date) so the most urgent items surface first. From the task list, you can:
Complete a task - mark it as done. Who completed it, and when, is recorded in the profile's Activity feed.
Reopen a task - if something needs revisiting, you can mark a completed task as incomplete again.
Edit a task - update the description, due date, or assignee as plans change.
Delete a task - remove tasks that are no longer relevant.
Overdue tasks - where the due date has passed and the task is still incomplete - are highlighted so nothing slips through the cracks.
My Tasks
You can see all tasks assigned to you across every profile from the My Tasks view. This gives you a single place to check what's on your plate without navigating to individual profiles.
Activity tracking
All task activity - creation, completion, edits, and deletion - is logged in the profile's activity feed. If a due date changes or a task is reassigned, the activity log captures exactly what changed and when.
