Managing your Campfront billing

Camp settings > Billing is where you manage your camp's own account with Campfront. You connect Stripe so you can take payments, set up your subscription, and review the fees Campfront charges each month.

This is separate from family billing, which is what your campers' families owe you. This page is about your camp's relationship with Campfront, not your families' payments to you.

This page needs both Settings and Financials permission. A teammate who has one but not the other won't see it.

Connect your Stripe account

Before you can enroll campers or collect any payments, connect your camp to Stripe.

  1. Click Set up your Stripe account.

  2. Follow Stripe's steps to verify your business and bank details.

  3. When you're done, the status here updates to show your account is active.

Until Stripe is connected, enrollment and payments stay switched off. For a new camp, this is usually the first setup step.

Set up your subscription

Your Campfront subscription covers the platform. Click Set up subscription to add a payment method through Stripe. Once it's active, an Invoices card appears. Open View invoices any time to manage your subscription and download invoices through Stripe's billing portal.

Current usage

The Current usage card shows this month's charges as they add up, before your invoice posts. Charges track in real time and bill monthly, and the card shows the date your next invoice generates. You'll see a line for each category.

  • Enrollment fees - based on how many campers you've enrolled

  • SMS - text messages sent, with your free monthly allowance applied first and only the overage billed

  • Facial recognition - opt-ins, where it's enabled

  • Facial recognition revenue share - your share of related payments

  • Background checks - shown when background checks are turned on

The card ends with an estimated total for the month.

Platform fees and enrollment pricing

View platform fees opens a month-by-month breakdown of every fee, so you can see exactly what made up a charge.

The Campfront enrollment pricing card shows the tiered rate table, marks the tier you're in now with "(your tier)", and tells you how many campers you've enrolled this year. Enrollment fees bill monthly through your subscription. As enrollment grows, each tier's rate applies to the campers in that band.

For how the pricing model itself works, the How our pricing works article walks through the rate structure in full.

Sales tax ID and receipts

Two smaller settings sit at the bottom of the page.

  • Sales tax ID - your state sales tax ID or seller's permit number. When it's set, it appears on the payment receipts your families get. Leave it blank if you don't collect sales tax

  • Email receipts - the address where Campfront sends receipts for your subscription payments
